The introductory course covers the basics of critical
appraisal and offers the opportunity for practical work appraising a randomised
control trial and a systematic review. By
the end of the course, participants will be equipped to deliver their own
critical appraisal skills training to small groups.
The companion, extended, workshop examines statistical tests
together with economic aspects of evidence based healthcare. It also includes exercises in interpreting a
qualitative study and a screening paper.
