A new face for the New Year

There have been some organisational changes at the Library recently, following the departure of Mary Hill for pastures new at the Christie. To help integrate the library team with the educational and organisational development strategy, we now come under the line management of the new Learning and Development Manager, Judy Haykin.

We look forward to working with Judy, continuing the offer the same core set of services and seeing how we can develop our services at this exciting stage of the Trust’s development.

Meanwhile, all the familiar faces are still here to help you with your information requirements. So whether you would like to:

•      develop a search strategy

Review your favourite books on our library catalogue!

We have a new feature on our library catalogue. You can now rate the books you borrow, and write a review for them.

Review An epic first instalment This story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. The characters and storyline are so well-written, you won't want to put the book down. If you would like to write a review, you need to be on the hospital intranet. Go to the library catalogue on the library microsite, search for the book and click on 'Create review'.  Type in the number on your library card.  Give a title to your review in the 'Summary' box, and then write your review in the box below. Click on 'Submit Review' We would like your reviews on clinical and patient-friendly books as well as fiction, so let's hear from you!
