In the summer we told you about a free trial to the fulltext of all Springer journals and e-books. Access to the Springer collection has now been extended until 31st December 2014. You can access the content with your Athens username and password here: http://link.springer.com/ .
As part of this trial, the Medical Collection from Oxford University Press is offering fulltext access to 88 titles, such as Cardiovascular Research, Annals of Oncology, Occupational Medicine and International Journal for Quality in Health Care. You can access them here: http://www.oxfordjournals.org/en/
Twenty six Annual Reviews journals are also part of the free trial, such as the Annual Review of Biochemistry, and the Annual Review of Pharmacology and Toxicology. You can access them here: http://www.annualreviews.org/
The content from Oxford University Press and the Annual Reviews will be available until 31st December 2014. Access to the content of both providers is only available from NHS computers, and not by Athens.
Other journal providers who are also involved are Nature and 36 affiliated journals (such as Nature Medicine and Nature Reviews Cancer), and ElsevierScience, which is including 147 of its Finch Medical Research titles, such as Experimental Eye Research, Research in Microbiology, the European Journal of Pharmacology, Spine Deformity, and Clinical Biochemistry. Access is via your Athens account.
The Merck Index is also included in the free trial. Access is only available from NHS computers.
As it stands at the moment, access to the other publishers' content will continue to be available until 31st March 2015.
