Electronic Books
The library now has fulltext access to all the Oxford Handbooks (medical and nursing) and the Emergencies in... series. You can access them by going to http://oxfordmedicine.com/ and logging in to the website with your NHS Athens username and password. Please contact the library if you do not have an Athens account.
Physical BooksRecently we have been awarded some funding for books for medical students and many of these books will also be of interest to staff. For instance we have now bought any 2010 / 2011 editions of the ABC and Lecture Notes collections.
Keeping our book stock up to date is very difficult within the current library budget. We buy those books that people recommend or replace older copies if a new edition of a well used book is published. Do make suggestions so that we buy the books that are best for you!
