Oxford University Press has published a web-based version of the new (5th) edition of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine. This version contains over 2,500 figures and illustrations which can be downloaded in PowerPoint and used in presentations and lectures. There are links via PubMed to original sources mentioned in the references, and the web-based layout makes it easier to browse and search the 600 chapters.The library has a free trial of this e-book until the end of November. To view the resource online, click on http://www.oxfordtextbookofmedicine.com/ and log in with your Athens username and password when prompted.
The publishers welcome any feedback you may have and have provided a link on the website's homepage. Please let them know what you think of the new format before the end of November.
