We are currently working on modernising the entrance to the Library with some external funding. This is likely to result in the library being CLOSED for a few days during August. Plans are available if you wish to see them.We had sent out a final design to a number of people but there are fire safety issues with the sliding door. So the ultimate plan may have to be different.
Our aim is to make it more welcoming and user friendly. We also are hoping to be able to reduce the cost of heating the library.
